Getting in
How do I join?
Put your email in on the front page. Boujolie is in beta, so accounts open from a queue. Nothing is judged or scored.
Do creators apply?
No. Once your account is open you post. There is no follower count to reach and no application. For creators says how it works.
How does a brand get in?
Through For brands. Tell us about the brand and we let you know when brand onboarding opens.
Buying
Who am I buying from?
The brand that makes the product, at its stated price, from its own store. Boujolie never holds your money and never sees your card.
Where is my order?
Under Purchases in More, with the carrier and the tracking number as soon as the brand sends it.
Can I return something?
Under the brand’s own returns terms, which stand on the product before you pay. Returns, exchanges and refunds are settled with the brand. If a brand does not answer you, write to us and we take it up with them.
Earning
How do I earn?
When somebody buys a tagged product from your post, the purchase happens inside Boujolie and is stamped to your post. The rate is set with the brand when its world opens, and what you earn holds through the brand’s returns window.
Can I use my own affiliate links?
Yes. Add a link when you tag a product and say whether you earn from it. The link opens the store it points at, the brand or the network pays you on its own terms, and the post says you earn from it. Boujolie does not record or pay those sales.
Where do I see it?
Under Purchases in More: the product, the post it came from, the day it becomes yours, and whether a brand has paused creator tags.
Does the post have to say I earn on it?
Yes. A post that tags a product you earn on says so on its face. Boujolie puts the word there for you, because that is what the rules on paid posts ask for.
How does the money reach me?
Add your bank once through Stripe, under Purchases in More. Stripe holds the details and runs the checks; we never see your account. Earnings go out one day a week once they reach $25, and anything under that gathers until it does.
When does it land?
We say sent when the payment leaves us. It reaches your bank on Stripe’s own schedule after that, usually a couple of days.
Your Home
What decides what I see on Home?
Newest posts first, clips ahead. When you say a product worked for you, 4 or 5, the words on the post you rated it under bring a few more posts in those words, about one tile in twenty, and the rest of the page is untouched. Take the rating off the product and it stops counting. Curated, under Filters in Search, reads the hair profile you stated and shows people with hair like yours; it lives in Search alone, and at rest nothing else about you is read.
Who sees my ratings?
Nobody by name. A rating is yours, it is never shown to the person who posted or to a brand, and you can see and remove every one under Activity in More. What everyone sees on a product is a count: how many said it worked, and how many of them stated hair like yours.
How do I rate a product?
Open a post, pick a product under In this post, and tap a star under Your rating, one to five, only if you have used it. The card says you rated it; tap the lit star to take it back. Overall rating is what everybody said. There is no rating on a post or on anybody’s hair; every hair is good hair.
Your posts and your account
Who owns what I post?
You do. Posting gives Boujolie permission to show it in the app and in a preview of the app, with your username on it. Deleting the post ends that.
Something of mine is here without my permission.
Write to remeurme@gmail.com with a link to it and we take it down.
Can a brand delete my comment?
Yes. A page belongs to whoever it is, so the person whose post it sits under, or the brand whose world it is in, can take a comment down. What you wrote is never edited and nothing is ever posted in your name. You can always delete your own.
What belongs here?
Hair: what you do with yours, what you used, and the beauty that goes with it. Not food, drink, clothing or home goods, and nothing that says a product grows hair or treats a condition. A post that is not about hair is not promoted.
What is the hair profile?
Your type, porosity, length and what you are dealing with, under Profile in More. It shows on your page so people with hair like yours can find you, and Curated in Search reads it. Every part of it is optional and you can clear any of it there.
How do I delete my account?
From More, under Your data. You are signed out and the account closes 90 days later, so there is time to change your mind: Keep my account is on the same card until the day it closes. After that your files go first, then everything your account owned, and it is permanent. A sale you made keeps the names on it as a sales record.
